To be honest when I started this program I had no idea that the work would be this hard but so fun at the same time. I can confidently say that I have learned so much over the past three weeks, and I know I will learn a lot more about photography in the next week. I learned new things in the technical world of photography and physical world; I learned that the temperature of the chemicals is crucial when developing, and I learned that photographs can have deeper meanings that take digging. I’ve seen so many different photographs from various photographers and have learned how different photography can be to someone; one artist could photograph the floor and explain a deeper meaning to it than just where people walk, and another artist can shoot New York City and explain how the city is important to them. Not every photograph has to be pleasing to the eye, sometimes a deeper meaning makes a photograph more beautiful. From receiving this knowledge, as a photographer, I have challenged myself to shoot places, people, and objects that would not normally be beautiful to the eye; I would shoot things that would take longer to understand the beauty and importance.
